    Reminders

    To get reminded, open a task, give it a date and choose “Remind me”. Without a time, reminders come at 9:00.

    Notifications are off.

    To remind you while it’s closed, Tasks sends its server your reminders locked so that only this device can read them, with the times they’re due and your time zone. More about this. Turning it off, or deleting all data, removes them from the server.

    Sync between your devices

    Keep Tasks the same on your phone, tablet and computer with a free shkriuss account. Your data is locked on your devices before it's sent, so only they can read it.

    Delete the online copy?

    This deletes Tasks's data from its server and turns off sync on this device. Your data stays on this device. Your other devices keep theirs, but stop syncing.

    Everything Tasks saves stays in this browser on this device, unless you turn on sync. Back up to keep your own copy.

    Back up your data

    A backup is a file with everything Tasks saves. Lock it with a passphrase so only you can open it.

    Keep the passphrase somewhere safe, like a password manager. Without it the backup can’t be opened, not even by us.

    At least 12 characters. A few random words work well.

    Or download a plain copy without a passphrase. Anyone who gets that file can read it.
